Clinic update - we are open from Wednesday June 3

The last few months have been challenging for everyone and we have missed being able to help our patients in our busy clinic, however the safety and wellbeing of our patients and our team has always been our top priority.

Whilst we have managed to help many of you through our Telehealth service (virtual consultations) and prescribed exercise, and we have seen great progress with our patients who are taking part in our rehabilitation and online classes, however sometimes a hands-on treatment is needed.

From Wednesday 3rd June, we will be be re-opening for ‘emergency’ face to face appointments and we look forward to welcoming you back to the clinic. We have in place new procedures and measures, following the latest guidance and extensive risk assessments, to ensure we are creating the safest possible environment. These will be updated and amended over time to stay current and reactive to the global changes.

Virtual Consultation

In line with current guidance all patients will need to have a virtual consultation first, for us to agree together with you the most effective way forward. If a face to face appointment is required and if you are comfortable to attend the clinic, we will explain to you during your online consultation;

  • The new way we are currently working
  •  The nature of close patient contact during our service
  • The PPE that our clinicians will be wearing
  •  The infection prevention and control measures that must be taken
  •  We will also read you a risk statement for you to confirm you understand and agree to.

Screening

As with all healthcare appointments we will ask you a series of screening questions in relation to Covid-19 and if you are attending the clinic we will send you an online screening form which you will need to complete online before your appointment.

Working together to stay safe

Whilst most of our paperwork is already online, we did have the ability to provide physical copies of appointment times and receipts, for safety, at this current time all paperwork relating to your appointment will be online and emailed directly to you prior to your appointment.

Please can you complete this and send it back to us. It is important that we have the correct email address and contact details for you and please do monitor your spam folder in case our emails have found their way in there.

We also have in place an online payment system. A link from our payment provider, ‘sumup’ will be sent to your mobile which will take you through to a secure payment site (if you have been taking part in our virtual classes you will be familiar with this). Your next appointment will be booked at the time of your appointment by your clinician and confirmation and reminders will be emailed to you (as before).

Throughout the clinic we have put in place extra measures such as;

  • Perspex screens at reception
  •  Social distancing reminders throughout the clinic
  •  All magazines and soft furnishings have been removed
  •  If you would like a pillow or towel during your treatment, please do bring your own
  •  The water dispensers and the WCs will be out of use for visitors so please do bring your own water bottle
  •  The treatment rooms are set up to ensure a 2m distance can be maintained when not receiving a treatment

Your Appointment

  • We ask you arrive at the clinic at the time of the appointment and not before to ensure you do not have to wait.
  • We have staggered the times of appointments to ensure social distancing.
  • Your clinician will meet you at the door and take you straight through to the treatment room.
  • We ask that you attend your appointment alone where possible, however children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult who will also need to answer the Covid 19 screening questions.

PPE

  • We ask that you wear a face covering, if you do not have one, they will be available to buy at the clinic for £2. Your clinician will also be wearing appropriate PPE.

Cleaning

Whilst high standards of cleaning and hygiene have always been maintained at Knott Kinetics, we have put in place additional cleaning measures for communal areas and treatment rooms. We have also scheduled extra time between patients to allow for this.

Hand Hygiene

Hand hygiene remains of upmost importance.

  • Please do not wear your own gloves into the clinic, as this poses a potential risk.
  • Please use the hand sanitiser provided when you enter the clinic.
  • Our staff will of course ensure they follow all the hand hygiene guidelines for Covid 19 before and after treatments.

We would like to reassure our patients that we have carried out detailed risk assessments on the services we offer and are confident we are providing an as safe as possible environment for our patients. However, if you have any concerns or questions please do discuss this with your clinician first.

We will be reviewing the services we offer and our procedures on an ongoing basis and subject to the Government recommendations, we will be updating you regularly. To this point, all group classes will remain online, (via Zoom) at this time.

Thank you to all our wonderful customers for their support and understanding at this time. We can’t wait to get back to treating and working with you all in the coming weeks.

Stay safe, see you soon.
